Accommodations
Two types of accommodations have been reserved at reduced rates in the Walter C. Gage Residences, centrally located on campus and within 10 minutes level grade walking of all conference events except the field trip.
Gage Towers Premium Single Rooms, with water, city and mountain views @ $48 CAN + taxes per night. These rooms are grouped in an apartment setting of four one-person sleeping rooms, along with a semi-equipped kitchen, lounge and shared washroom offering two showers, two sinks and one toilet per apartment. The three 17-storey Gage towers can be seen near the centre of the photo which accompanies this website.
West Coast Standard Suites, adjacent to the Gage Towers in a lowrise building, @ $119 CAN + taxes per night. Though lacking in views, these cosy suites are more convenient for couples, and can house up to four people comfortably. They feature a fully equipped kitchen and hotel-type bathroom with tub and shower. Note that unlike the Premium Single Rooms, which are priced per person, the West Coast Suites are per unit, divided by the number of guests occupying each suite.
Please book your accommodations yourself at the UBC
Accommodations website. The WAML group reservations
code is G60510C. If you plan to arrive on campus
before May 10, or stay on after the official
check out date of May 14, you will need to make
a second reservation for the extra nights. Do
this by phoning the Accommodations reservations
desk at 1-888-822-1030 or emailing: reservations@housing.ubc.ca.
